The GIS Planning Analyst I (Temporary Contractor) is responsible for planning the day-to-day acquisition plans and reports for all the field operators at DMP NA. This position is also responsible for tracking and reporting the miles driven by the operators daily.

The GIS Planning Analyst I (Temporary Contractor) is responsible for planning the day-to-day acquisition plans and reports for all the field operators at DMP NA. This position is also responsible for tracking and reporting the miles driven by the operators daily.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizing postgres databases, QGIS plugins, and large datasets to create acquisition plans for field operators
- Supports other departments including Field QC department, and Change Management Department to forecast mapping data collection priorities and completed collection
- Perform basic postgres queries to analyze collection priorities and report collection
- Verifies discrepancies in collection uploads by the field daily
Skills. Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in either GIS mapping or data quality assurance or related analytical field.
- Working knowledge of GIS applications and geospatial data assurance, including the use of QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar mapping platforms.
- Experience working with a team to problem solve and achieve goals under pressure and tight timelines
- Experience with relational database principles including structured query language (SQL).
- Attention to detail and focus on quality
Work Environment
- Balancing tactical daily planning responsibilities with longer-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Adapting to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- May spend long hours sitting and working on a computer
- May occassionally require work in the evenings and weekends to meet operational needs.
- Experience with LiDAR technologies, GPS and HD Maps a plus.
- Experience working with clients/customers in the auto industry.
